In Words and Pictures - June 2016 - with the kind permision of the children and parents/carers of Mosspits Lane Primary School

"...you can leave bad stuff behind, I can go in and leave it there because I know what to do."

Year 1 Child

"It's a really calm place and quiet too. You can go in there, there's no where else like it."

Year 1 Child

"...you can think about your family and friends and remember how they feel about you."

Year 1 Child

"I like it because it's peaceful and quiet there."

Year 1 Child

"It's calm and has cool features in it."

Year 2 Child

"...you can think about what you've done wrong and be reflective about it."

Year 2 Child

"...you reflect on bad things and leave the badness behind you and the goodness out with you."

Year 2 Child

"It's always noisy on the playground and when I'm in the Reflective Space I feel calm."

Year 2 Child

"It's quieter than the yard and you can stay in there and reflect on things."

Year 2 Child

"I was very happy to read the information regarding the inclusivity of all faiths and those children of no faith...The majority of our family are atheists and I find it extremely frustrating when people assume that my children are not spiritual because they are not religious. My youngest is very interested in religions and has still not made a decision about her own beliefs...The inclusion and understanding of all religions are hugely important...My kids are extremely thoughtful, they always give money and buy food for people who they see on the streets, who are homeless or begging for money. They don't need to be religious to have a good moral compass and compassion for others. Thank you so much for the work you are doing..."

Year 4 Parent - June 2016
